Перечисленные ниже находки, датируемые плейстоценом, могут считаться аномальными лишь для Северной и Юж­ной Америки. По мнению подавляющего большинства ученых, первые люди появились в Северной Америке не ранее 12 000 (0, 012 миллиона) лет назад. Знак вопроса указывает на то, что последующее применение радиоактивно-углеродистого мето­да позволило уточнить их возраст, оказавшийся менее 10 000 лет.
